What is Bluescan?

The official MetaCoin block explorer in plain English.

Bluescan is the official block explorer for the MetaCoin (MTC) blockchain. It continuously indexes every block, transaction, token registration, NFT mint, and lock event on the network and presents them through fast, deeply-linked web pages and a public REST API. The service is free, requires no account, and is read-only — Bluescan can never sign or move funds, only display what is already publicly recorded on the chain.

MetaCoin is a Hyperledger Fabric–based blockchain that supports MRC-010 fungible tokens (similar in role to ERC-20 on Ethereum) and two NFT standards: MRC-401 for single-issue collectibles and MRC-402 for multi-edition releases. The network finalizes blocks every few seconds, so transactions appear on Bluescan almost immediately after they are submitted.

Bluescan is operated by the same team that maintains the MetaCoin network and is designed to be the most reliable single source of truth for on-chain MetaCoin data — for casual users tracing a single transaction, for developers building wallets and dApps, and for analysts auditing token supply and holder distribution.

What is Bluescan?
Bluescan is the official block explorer for the MetaCoin (MTC) blockchain. It indexes every block, transaction, token, and NFT and exposes them through searchable web pages and a public REST API. The service is free, no account is required to read on-chain data.
What is MetaCoin?
MetaCoin (MTC) is a permissioned blockchain network built on Hyperledger Fabric. It supports MRC-010 fungible tokens and MRC-401 / MRC-402 non-fungible tokens. The native asset MTC is used to pay network fees and settle token swaps.
How do I look up a transaction on Bluescan?
Paste the 64-character transaction hash into the search bar at the top of any Bluescan page. The explorer detects the format automatically and routes you to the transaction detail page, which shows the type, sender, receiver, amount, block reference, and full raw payload.
Is Bluescan free to use?
Yes. The Bluescan web explorer is completely free and does not require registration. The public API has a free tier that covers most personal and development use cases. Paid plans are available for higher rate limits.
What is the difference between MRC-401 and MRC-402 NFTs?
MRC-401 is a single-issue NFT standard — each token exists in exactly one copy and has one current owner. MRC-402 is a multi-edition standard where one registration can mint many copies that holders can later trade or melt for the underlying reserve.
Can I see locked token balances on Bluescan?
Yes. The token holders page shows a lock badge next to any wallet whose balance includes a chunk with a future unlock date, and the dedicated Lock tab lists every locked address with the precise unlock timestamp and a countdown.
Does Bluescan have an API?
Yes. Bluescan provides a public REST API at the same domain. The free tier requires no signup and is rate-limited per IP. Paid Pro and Enterprise tiers offer higher quotas, theme customization, and dedicated support. See /api-docs and /api-plans.
How fresh is the data on Bluescan?
Bluescan ingests new blocks within seconds of finalization. The homepage shows the current local block height alongside the mainnet height so you can confirm the explorer is in sync. Most queries hit cached layers and return in tens of milliseconds.
How do I find all transactions for a wallet?
Paste the 40-character wallet address (starting with MT) into the search bar. Bluescan opens the address page which lists every transaction the wallet was involved in, paginated and filterable by token. The URL format /address/{address}/tx/{page} can be bookmarked or shared directly.
